Mississippi River Trails: Weigh in at a community meeting on January 19

Participants learned more and weighed in on proposed bike trails at a meeting at Central Station downtown.

The University of Memphis and the Memphis Regional Design Center, in partnership with the Mississippi River Corridor, have been working with community members and organizations to discuss use of the 31 miles of MRC trails that fall in Shelby County. For example, the teams reached out to hiking and bicycling organizations who have also been involved in the Shelby Farms Greenline and proposed Harahan Bridge Project. They’ve also hosted public input meetings with Memphis residents and officials. The final public input meeting for this stage of planning will be held on January 19.

Light refreshments will be served and childcare will be provided, but please RSVP to diana@msrivertn.org to let the event organizers know that you’ll be there.
